Fishing contests - 

During the Christmas holidays in the early New Year & during Easter the previous camp and farm operators have organised fishing contests. 

The adult section has prizes and trophies for the biggest snapper, and the childrens section is judged on the biggest of any fish species.

They are fun days at the beach, and you can see from the pics that there are usually some good fish around.

Beach Sand Art display / competition - 

Held during the Christmas holidays in the early New Year. Some really innovative ideas and fun goes in to all the entries. It's just as well the beach is handy, as the summer heat tempts everyone to have regular swims to cool down after moving all that sand !

Homebrew contests - 

During the Christmas holidays in the early New Year & during Easter the homebrewers get together for a real showdown. Often with 20-30 entries to sample, the brewers / judges have a hard afternoons "work" ahead before the winner can be announced. To be a judge, simply enter a brew, or two.

Shields, trophies, prizes, are hard earned.
